Hezbollah Reports Missile, Artillery Strikes in Northern Israel

(MENAFN) The Lebanese group Hezbollah announced on Thursday that it had launched multiple missile and artillery strikes aimed at Israeli forces and key infrastructure across northern Israel and border areas.

According to separate statements, the group said it fired missiles toward infrastructure in the Kiryat Ata area, located east of the city of Haifa.

Hezbollah also claimed it struck concentrations of Israeli troops and military vehicles in the northern settlements of Metula and Malkia using missile fire.

In addition, the group reported shelling Israeli forces and vehicles with artillery at Jnijal Hill, near the southern Lebanese town of Qantara.

It further stated that another missile attack targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the Sadr area, close to the southern Lebanese town of Aita al-Shaab.

According to reports, Israel has intensified its military campaign in Lebanon, carrying out extensive airstrikes and launching a ground operation in the south following a cross-border assault by Hezbollah on March 2.

Lebanese officials have said that the ongoing Israeli offensive has resulted in nearly 1,318 deaths and left 3,935 others injured.
