Hezbollah Launches Over Fifty Attacks Against Israel

(MENAFN) Lebanon's Hezbollah announced Wednesday that it had executed 51 separate attacks against Israeli targets, deploying a combination of rockets, drones, and artillery shells against settlements, military bases, troop concentrations, and armored vehicles.

The group stated the offensive was carried out "in defense of Lebanon and its people," as Israeli operations inside the country have continued unabated since March 2.

The barrage inflicted tangible destruction across the northern Israeli settlement of Kiryat Shmona, where buildings and vehicles bore the visible brunt of the rocket fire.

Footage circulated by Israeli media outlets captured thick plumes of smoke billowing above a landscape of damaged structures and burnt-out cars throughout the settlement.

One of the media outlets confirmed that "direct damage was inflicted on a building in Kiryat Shmona following rocket fire from Lebanon."

The coordinated assault marks one of the most intensive single-day operations claimed by Hezbollah in recent weeks, further deepening concerns over a widening front along the Israeli-Lebanese border as hostilities on both sides show no sign of abating.
