Ferry adds extra sailing for Jersey-Guernsey car rally

(MENAFN) Brittany Ferries announced that it will run an additional sailing between Jersey and Guernsey in February to accommodate the seventh edition of the Guernsey Rally.

The rally, scheduled for 20-21 February, will feature 28 stages totaling around 50 stage miles. To facilitate travel for competitors, officials, and spectators, the ferry company has arranged a special Sunday return trip to St Helier.

Paul Acheson, Brittany Ferries’ commercial director, said the extra sailing reflects the company’s “commitment” to supporting island life. The additional service will depart Guernsey at 05:45 on 22 February and arrive in St Helier at 07:45 GMT. Competitors from Jersey are expected to travel on the regular Voyager service on 18 February.

Mr. Acheson added that the company recognizes the importance of inter-island sports and has also scheduled a day trip to Jersey on 16 May to allow as many fans as possible to attend the Muratti Vase Final.
